I thought Jiawei and Boon Kiat are in-charge of the merchandising of the hand-made handicrafts of the local SAPA people(fund-raising after) and not in-charge of the fund-raising(before) to provide the money for such projects?
Anyway, the part on fund raising(before) requires a lot of brainstorming and ideas especially that the time frame which we have available to raise funds before the trip is very short. However, one way may be that we can fork out some money from our own pockets first if we can't raise enough money for the projects which we are going to carry out over there.

Cedmund: thanks for the post. Our tentative allocation last week was a good way to begin sharing responsibilities. And since the nature of the residential project is still quite vague, we will need some time before we can meaningfully configure the various posts and job-scopes. At this point, everyone is free to suggest. All suggestions are good suggestions. We need to build on the suggestions so we can become clearer, and when we are clearer, we will confirm the job scopes. I hope this is fine with everyone.
