Meeting with Marine Parade Family Service Centre

Elderly

The elderly stay at the 5 rental flat in Marine Terrace. They stay alone andusually are home bound due to illness.

Below are some of the programmes that are planned for them:

1. Befriending
2. Home Help (helping them with some housework)
3. Bring them for outing like a walk at the beach, CNY celebration etc

We can also be involved in planning programme like CNY celebration, Christmas Party etc for about 50 - 100 of them.

Children

The children come from different backgrounds such as single parent and poor family. These children, mostly primary level and currently studying at Ngee Ann Primary School can be assisted in the following ways:

1. Outings such as to the zoo
2. Tutorials (weekly)
3. Camps

However, they can hardly be touched on weekends.

Do make a choice between these two for the moment until we come up with another possibility.
