Meeting Minutes for 31st May

Adventurous Journey

• Chang yang and Justin to be considered as participants for the trip. At the last vote, there were no objections
• Confirmation details with parents on the trip
• Jiawei to be expedition leader this time round due to the withdrawal from the YSL
• Costs of trip to be around same as 2006 Fusionoize Vietnam, with approx. 700 dollars to be handed in to Mr Khoo.
  
• Participants are to be responsible for their own safety as this would not be a school-based trip.
  
• Participants must also be prepared for different expectations and are fully aware of the detailed preparation for the trip that they must undertake.

Tentative Itinerary (15 Days)

Day 1 SIN - BK
Depart: 1805 Arrival: 1930 (local time)
Dinner, BK orientation
1 Night accommodation

Note: we will not be able to take the train on the first day as we cannot make it in time due to the flight schedule

Day 2 BK (hualamphong) - Ubon Ratchathani
BK orientation, BLD till 1930
Depart: 2030 (Overnight train)

Day 3 Ubon Ratchatani - Chong Mek
Arrival : 0635 (Ubon)
Bus Ride (No. #1 ,#2 or #3) from Ubon to Warinchamrab market
Transfer bus ride to Phibun Mangsahan market (every 30min until 4.30pm)
Transfer bus ride to Chong Mek, the border town between Thailand and Laos
(every 40min- 90min)
Chong Mek - Laos (walk across, daily from 0600-1800)
Transfer pick-up/taxi ride to Ban Muang Kao (45–75min)
Boat ride across Mekong to Pakse

The rest of the itinerary here would be up to further planning as details have not been confirmed yet (eg. sightseeing, CIP project)
