Meeting Minutes 22 Nov 2006

These are the minutes for the meeting at Justin's house. Sorry for posting late....
Agenda: Discuss Residential Project to be carried out at the school in detail.
The four days spent there are broken up into 2 people per day to be in charge
namely:

1st Day: Jiawei and Joseph, who will be in charge of teaching the numbers and the making of clocks. We will teach them from 1 to 15 or 20 to get their basic knowledge right first.Then, they will be taught how to read the time by making a personalised clock of their own.
Logistics- Paper Plates, Paper Fastener, Coloured Markers or colour pencils, Material for the needles(Bought in S'pore?)

2nd Day: Boon Kiat and Zhan Liang, who will teach the children basic colours and apply them in the photoframe-stickon project.
Logistics- Rice and dyes OR coloured beans(cant be found in Vietnam!), Transparencies, Glue, Pre-drawn templates (maybe hard cardboard as a base?)

3rd Day: Edmund and Thomas, who will teach them the various people in their families (eg. grandfather,aunt) and how to address them properly. They can then apply this by drawing a face on each balloon to signify a member of their family, with different sizes easily made.Logistics- Dark coloured markers, ballooons etc.

4th Day: Seth and Calvin, who will take this time to bring the children to the library to teach them some english using books and material from the library.

Note: These are all carried out in the afternoons, while on the first morning we have to finish the library and the subsequent 3 mornings we have to paint the entire school, so we are quite packed all these while.

Planned Schedule of Events:
23 Nov - Collect donations from Kovan Kindergarten at 11 am
25-26 Nov (sat and sun) - Buy logistics for trip and residential projects for the things that you need to teach
27 Nov Mon - Ubin cycling trip. Meet at Changi Jetty 0800 hours, will end late (Full Day)
28 Nov Tues - Only the selected few have to be down to pack and box all the donations for the trip
29 Nov Wed - Stay at school from 0800 to 1700, for final briefing and rehearsal for the residential project
30 Nov Thurs - Come to School and weigh your bags, then we can have the day off before flying to Hanoi. Pls set a time.
1 Dec Fri - YAY!!!!!!! Meet at Airport 2pm, settle your own lunch, Remember its the budget terminal! Change your currencies there too. Dun forget anything.....
